Katie Walsh Straight

Katie is a writer, lecturer, management consultant, and mom of three. Despite a decently frenetic schedule, she most often finds time to write in the dark hours before the workday begins. (Sound familiar to any other parents out there?) Her work has appeared in Mothers Always Write, Twiniversity, and If You're Reading This.

While writing serves as a creative hobby, the bulk of Katie's professional career has been focused on international development and social impact consulting. She lectures at the University of Virginia’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy and serves as Director of Business Development and Client Success at CIMA Consulting. Katie holds a master’s degree in International Education Policy from Harvard and a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia.

In her free time, Katie enjoys small-town improv, nearly any activity outside, and being generally ridiculous with her kids and friends.
